Top 10 Eggy Easter Games & Activities (Part II)

Yesterday we “laid” out (wink, wink) the first five of the 10 most popular, eggiest Easter games and activities, and today we’ll reveal the last five in the lineup.

You may find that some are old and some are new, but they’re all super fun and cheap to do!

6. Basket Hunt

Some people hide the eggs, others hide the whole basket. Baskets might be harder to conceal, but they’re twice as much fun to find.

TIP: This year, instead of hiding one big basket, think about putting more surprise into the hunt by hiding two or three smaller baskets with a, “But wait, there’s more!” after each one.

7. Egg Balance

How long can you keep an egg balanced on your head? That’s the name of the game and one slip is all it takes to make a slippery mess.

TIP: Have your camera ready. People make the funniest faces when they’re trying to balance an egg on their head.

8. Egg Drop

This only works if you have a deck or balcony from which you can safely, um, drop things over the edge. Start by placing a 5-gallon bucket filled with water below your chosen perch. Pass out three eggs to each person and then take turns dropping them over the edge. The person with unbroken eggs left over wins!

TIP: Station an “egg fetcher” by the bucket to retrieve successful drops so eggs won’t bang together in the splash zone.

9. Egg Toss

See how many times your team can toss an egg back and forth before the egg timer runs out! Increase the difficulty by taking a step back after every completed toss.

TIP: Ask your guests to bring an old shirt along so they can join in the fun without ruining their Sunday best.

10. Egg Scavenger Hunt

Jellybeans, gum and chocolate are always good treasures to stow in plastic eggs, but if you want to take it up a notch you can create an egg scavenger hunt. You start by giving the hunters an egg with a clue that leads to the next egg, which in turn leads to the next egg – until you get to the end for a big surprise.

TIP: Don’t make it too hard!

We hope you have a fun Easter weekend and enjoy all these eggy game ideas!
