Egg Race

Another time-honored favorite, the egg race pits the fast against the dexterous in a competition that’s as fun to watch as it is to do.

TIP: To play, you need to designate a raceway (around the house is always a good one) and provide all racers with an egg and a spoon. Place the egg in the spoon and keep it balanced there as you race. Whoever gets to the finish line first with an unbroken egg wins!

3. Egg Roll

The egg roll is an exercise in patience. The goal is to roll your egg across the ground and over the finish line before your opponents without cracking your egg. Wooden spoons work best, but any implement will do as your roller.

TIP: Slow and easy wins the race.

4. Egg Hunt

An Easter weekend is never complete without an egg hunt. Now, do you hide real (boiled) eggs or plastic eggs with goodies inside? Either way, timing is everything – especially if you have raccoons.

TIP: Foil their plans to steal the Easter treasure by taping your plastic eggs shut. To protect the boiled variety, you'll have to forgo the convenience of hiding them the day before.

5. Egg Spin

Does a hard-boiled egg spin better – that is, longer – than an uncooked egg? Does spin differ from egg to egg, or is it all about technique? You’ll never know ‘til you try, which is what makes the game fun. Players choose an egg, spin it and mark the time. The longest spin wins!

TIP: Spin with care. A broken egg results in instant disqualification.

Tune in tomorrow to see how you can have even more Easter fun!
