Growing up, desserts were the only things my siblings and I ever helped our mom make in the kitchen. So naturally, when I got married, the only thing I knew how to make was cookies!
I've come a long way since the days of just making chocolate chip cookies and chocolate pudding, but one thing remains the same – I still have a mad obsession with chocolate chip cookies. I love love LOVE them!
Over the years I've tried tons of recipes. Some are soft, some are crunchy, some are too sugary and some are not sugary enough. Some are too greasy and some are too dry. Some are gross and some are delicious! Luckily for you I've spent years searching for the best recipe, and I've finally found it! I'm so excited to share with you my all-time most favorite recipe that everyone always loves!
They really are super simple to make – let me show you how! Here's your list of ingredients (3/4 cup butter, 3/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 egg, 2 tsp. vanilla, 2 cups flour, 2 tsp. cornstarch, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. salt and 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips):
In a large mixing bowl, cream together your butter and sugars. Add in egg and vanilla. Your mixture should be nice and thick, like in the pic on the left! In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, cornstarch and salt, and then slowly add it in. Finally, stir in your chocolate chips with a spatula.
Using a cookie scooper, place your cookies on a cookie sheet about 2 inches apart and bake for 8 minutes.
Really, these are the best-tasting chocolate chip cookies I have made. They only last a few minutes in my house before they're all devoured! I would love for you to be known as the best cookie maker in town, so I've created cute printable recipe cards for you!
