Spicy Meatball Pizzaiola

And, what makes this different from any other pizzaiola you may have had? Well … lots of things, so let’s get started. <strong>The Basic Tools</strong> <ul> <li>Large <a title="Skillets and Frying Pans" href="http://www.atgstores.com/skillets-frying-pans_14554.html" target="_blank">skillet</a></li> <li><a title="Baking Sheets" href="http://www.atgstores.com/baking-sheets_2281.html" target="_blank">Baking sheet</a></li> <li><a title="Mixing Bowls" href="http://www.atgstores.com/mixing-bowls_2286.html" target="_blank">Mixing bowl</a></li> <li><a title="Bakeware" href="http://www.atgstores.com/baking-pans_2284.html" target="_blank">Baking Pan</a></li> </ul> <strong>The Ingredients</strong> <ul> <li>1 1/2 pounds ground beef</li> <li>1/2 cup quick oats, minced</li> <li>1/2 small onion, minced</li> <li>3 cloves garlic, minced</li> <li>3 oz. mozzarella, cubed</li> <li>3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce</li> <li>3 tbsp. chili sauce (Sriracha)</li> <li>1 tbsp. butter</li> <li>1 tbsp. basil</li> <li>2 tsp. thyme</li> <li>2 tsp. rosemary</li> <li>2 tsp. parsley</li> <li>Salt and pepper to taste</li> </ul> <strong>The Method</strong> <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Part 1 (Prep)</span>: Put all the ingredients listed <em>except the cheese and butter </em>in your mixing bowl and mash it together with your hands. Cut the mozzarella into small 1/4-inch cubes. Once complete, take a 1-ounce scoop of meat, press a cube of mozzarella into it and then roll it into a meatball. Repeat until all the meat is used, placing the meatballs on a tray or baking sheet. Set the meatballs in the fridge for at least 45 minutes to firm up. <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Part 2 (Cook):</span> Remove the meatballs from the fridge and brown them in your skillet with butter, turning constantly for 6-8 minutes. (You may have to do this in two batches.) Once dark brown on all sides, place them in the baking pan and pop them in the oven for 8-10 minutes at 350ºF.
