Every Day Is Earth Day at ATGStores.com
April 22nd is Earth Day, a day when the environmentally minded feel extra motivation to do what they can to make the planet a better, cleaner place through volunteerism, advocacy and a renewed commitment to eco-friendly living.

Since its inception in 1970, it’s also a day that has experienced increasing attention from responsible companies that want to embrace their roles of environmental stewardship in the communities they rely upon for their success – and the Lowe’s family is no exception.

So, what is ATGStores.com doing for the environment?

Making Every Day Earth Day

With Our Customers

Many of our company’s policies are environmentally friendly by nature. The ATGStores.com direct-from-manufacturer business model itself has a significant impact on the overall carbon footprint by reducing the amount of shipping and packaging in our day-to-day operations.

We also focus on our partnerships with eco-friendly brands and are invested in supporting programs that feature their products. One such program in development now will make it easier for customers to select sustainable furniture materials when they customize their orders.

With Our Employees

Environmental awareness is a part of the ATGStores.com company culture as well. We have recycling bins in every office and common room, and use filtered water dispensers in our lounges to encourage the use of reusable drinkware over bottled water. And, we also offer reimbursements for those who rideshare to help reduce commuter impact.

These commitments, though, are only a taste of things to come. Our plan is to make this Earth Day the first in an effort to participate in environmental activities at least once every quarter as part of the All That’s Goods Program, an ongoing initiative introduced in 2014 that focuses on serving the community and local families in need.

The company’s first eco-focused volunteer opportunity for 2015 focused on removing invasive plants from Juanita Bay Park in Kirkland, Washington. Dozens of employees gathered for the recent event and together they cleared out some of the park’s most aggressive invasive species growth.

The effort will help revitalize salmon creeks, improve access to foraging areas for animals and allow a native understory to grow in its place to better serve other native species.

Kirkland ‘Green Business’ Registration

Accountability is a measure of environmental responsibility, which is why ATGStores.com is also currently registered with the Kirkland Green Business Program. Kirkland, WA, is our home and this is one way we can measure our successes while also seeking opportunities to improve.

ATGStores.com is committed to making every day Earth Day, and strives to bring all that’s good to our environment as well as our customers, employees and community. Join us in making this the best Earth Day ever!
