In Part I, we started with five fun ways to set the foundation for a beautiful patio refresh – a little pressure wash here, a little polish there and now you’re ready for the really exciting stuff.
Check out these last five ideas, and combined with yesterday’s tips you’ll have a greatly improved patio at a price fit for any budget.
6. Class up your planters.
You can try some DIY design on the planters you have, or add to your potting collection with new styles. Either way, it’s an easy patio perk that will bring a lot of charm.
7. Add a parasol.
Yesterday, we mentioned how you can add a little more privacy to your patio – or at least the illusion of privacy. Patio umbrellas help with this, too, while keeping you and your guests cozy in the shade.
8. Hook it up with a hibachi.
Some patios don’t have the space or the code clearance for a large, flaming grill, but a tabletop hibachi looks classy, has a low profile and works just as well to cook up kabobs, burgers and all the other goodies that make patio parties awesome.
9. Bring the wildlife.
Things are never dull on the perfect patio, but you can make the space even more exciting with a bird feeder, bird bath or even a bird house. Position it a little beyond the perimeter, and you’re sure to enjoy many visits from new feathered friends.
10. Light it up.
It’s hard to resist a crackling fire on a cool spring night, and a fire pit makes it easy. But, if no fire pits are allowed, you can try tiki torches or even a few candles to give your space a flicker of fiery fun.
